TALK: Oliver! star Ron Moody reviews his situation in Shoreham
Best known for his portrayal of Fagin in the musical Oliver!, Mr Moody celebrates the publication of his new memoir, revealing the twists and turns of his career and the people he met and worked with along the way.
Planning to become an academic, he first took to the boards in student revues at the London School of Economics.

The autobiography gives insights into the attention to detail involved in creating characters, the role of anarchy and clowning in his performances, and the nature of theatre itself.
He also reveals how tensions both on and off stage – as there were in Oliver! – can stimulate actors.
Mr Moody’s 50-year career spans theatre, film and television, also including Candide, David Copperfield and EastEnders.
