A man has been arrested and charged with committing two burglaries in Littlehampton and using threatening behaviour towards a member of the public, police have confirmed.

Shane McKenzie, 37, of Arundel Road, Littlehampton, appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Monday (30 November) after being charged with carrying out a burglary at a house in Smallcroft Close and another at a home in Gloucester Place, where a lap top was stolen on 28 November, a police spokesman said.

Police said he was also charged with using threatening words and behaviour towards a man who challenged him in Smallcroft close.

McKenzie was remanded in custody to appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on 4 January, according to police.
