Vehicles driven around nature reserve could be crushed by police
Signs have been posted at Bedelands Nature Reserve, to the north of Burgess Hill, warning off road vehicle users.
They state: “It is an offence to ride a motorbike / moped / quad bike on Bedelands Nature Reserve or any other common land, footpath, or bridleway.
“Any person doing so will be issued with a Section 59 Warning or Seizure notice, which may ultimately result in the vehicle being crushed.”
Witnesses are urged to call Sussex police on 101 if they see illegal activity taking place.
