Emergency service crews were called to the West Hill in Hastings after concerns were raised for the welfare of a woman, police said.

Officers explained that the incident happened at around 5am on Saturday, April 29.

A Sussex Police spokesperson added: “She was brought to safety and has been passed into the care of the health service.”

A resident said emergency service crews were still on the scene as of 8.15am on Saturday.
