Firefighters were called to a home in Bracklesham Bay last night (Tuesday, March 30).

One crew was sent to the scene after a hot tub had 'burst into flames' and was 'threatening the properties around it'.

"Luckily, the tub wasn't being used at the time," a spokesperson for East Wittering Fire Station said.

"The crew quickly got it under control using two BA [breathing apparatus] wearers and two high pressure hoses (and a bucket).

"Limited damage was caused to the lean-to that surrounded it, and after a quick clean up the crew returned to station."
