Lorry crash leaves scaffolding strewn across A283

This was the scene in Storrington this morning when scaffolding collapsed onto a major road after a lorry crash.

The A283 was closed in both directions from the B2139 School Hill to Meadowside because of debris in the road.

Traffic queues built up while members of the public tried to help until police and fire crews arrived on the scene.

The road was later reopened.
