While applauding the sentiment behind the Bexhill and Hastings Lions Clubs run on the new Link Road – ie all donations to charities of choice – I find the use of the so-called Link Road cynical.

Taylor Woodrow and Hochtief, under contract to East Sussex County Council, have offered a ‘chance of a lifetime’ to use this road before it is opened.

Their advertising poster centres on the archeological interest under and around the runners’ feet, only made possible by the building of this great new road.
