Outline Ford homes plan approved

Council planning officer David Innes has agreed the development on land south of Burndell Road should go ahead. In his report, he said the scheme by Brookworth Homes overcame the reasons, including the access, which led to a previous scheme last year being rejected.
Arun District Council also needed more land set aside for housing to show it could meet its development target.

Hide AdBut the 2.4ha grassland site was outside the area earmarked for new homes. However, Ford Parish Council has said it is likely to include the land in its draft neighbourhood plan.
