St Nicholas of Myra (also known as St Nic’s), on Church Street will live-stream its services for those self-isolating or choosing not to go out in public following social distancing advice.
Father Dominic Keech, vicar at St Nicholas of Myra church, said: “We felt immediately that we wanted to keep up some form of normality when it became apparent that church services would be suspended following government advice. “The means at our disposal are virtual at the moment.

This comes as the government advises people to avoid public places and all but essential travel to prevent the spread of Covid 19 (coronavirus).
The Church of England has also issued advice to suspend public worship until further notice.
“The church is here to be a sign of hope and love and is still in the church yard just as it was when Brighton was a village- even if people are not praying in it!” said Father Keech. “The church is still being prayed in and it is praying for people.”
Father David Keech said that the church will continue to post news and updates online to ‘provide people with some friendly faces’.
