A video shows the extent of the chaos caused by heavy rains and poor weather after a flood warning was issued for the River Lavant earlier today (January 14).
The warning, issued by the Environment Agency, makes clear that floods could stretch as far as Shopwhyke and Chichester.
A spokesperson for the Environment Agency has urged residents to ‘monitor local water levels and weather conditions,' while avoiding ‘low-lying footpaths or entering areas prone to flooding. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one.’
