Real-life drama interrupts Littlehampton lifeboat training
Crew members were going through their routine and launching the lifeboat, when an emergency call came in.
The call was from the Coastguard, requesting help after a rigid inflatable boat with two people on board had broken down off the coast at Pagham.

Fortunately, the sea was calm, the weather was fine and visibility was good and after the lifeboat arrived at the scene, the problem with the outboard motor was assessed and rectified by the lifeboat crew.
The crew were taken on board the lifeboat and a member of the RNLI crew steered it safely back to Littlehampton Marina.
The lifeboat returned to Littlehampton lifeboat station at 12.35pm.
