Series of Ealing comedies lined-up
The series of four sessions, including a black and white Ealing comedy film and a traditional afternoon tea, has been set up for the over-55s thanks to West Sussex County Council funding.
The launch on Friday, March 21, featuring Passport to Pimlico, was well attended, with the lounge set up as a cinema and the film shown on the recently-purchased large flat screen television.

Hide AdCentre co-ordinator Julian McDowell gave a short introduction to the film, including a brief history of the Ealing film studios.
The café was dressed in a vintage style, including tablecloths and china crockery, and customers were given waitress service while listening to music from the ’50s and ’60s, played on a record player.
There are sessions on April 11, 18 and 25, from 2pm to 5pm. The cost is £2, to include an English high tea of sandwiches, cakes and scones.
