Southway Junior Schoo's golden celebration
Southway Junior School in Burgess Hill are celebrating their golden anniversary and are asking for people to get in touch with their memories of the place.
The school opened its doors on September 5 1968 to 101 children. The week long celebrations will begin on Monday October 15, culminating in a 1960’s themed day.
A spokesman for the school said: “We would like pupils, parents, carers, governors, PTA and staff members who have been at Southway to contribute any memories, photos, anecdotes of their associated time with the school.” The school has created an email address for people to contribute: [email protected]”.
