Teville Gate car park to close this week
Senior councillors approved plans in September to knock the car park down in a ‘declaration of intent’ to site owners Mosaique in a bid to kick-start redevelopment.
A council spokesman said: “(The closure) is in anticipation of Worthing Borough Council demolishing the multi-storey and will be a catalyst for the private owner to bring forward a wider development on the rest of the site.”

Mosaique held two public consultation events this month where their vision for the site was revealed.
Initial plans include up to 375 apartments, 1,400 square metres of restaurant and cafés, supermarket and gym.
If planning permission is granted once formal plans have been submitted early in the new year, the owners said construction could begin in 2019.
