A COUNTRY crafts day at the National Trust headquarters at the Swan Barn Farm, Haslemere, showed off the skills of craftspeople to the visitors who made their way through the gates.

In the fields around the barn and the newly shingle roofed Orchard House, workmen and crafts men showed their techniques and wares and many encouraged the visitors to join in .

One of those who did not invite visitors to take part was chainsaw carving Rob Beckinsale, who completed a walnut owl to go along side his other birds, coils and carvings.
