Chichester boxing club are knocked out by police generosity
St Gerards Amateur Boxing Club have received a cheque for £200 from Sussex police.
It comes from the force’s property act fund and has gone to the boxing club to support their work in addressing anti-social behaviour in the community.
The cheque was handed to coach Gareth Ferguson and a number of club members by ‘pugilistic PCSO Pete Outen, who also boxes for the club.

Hide AdFerguson said: “We wholly appreciate any amount of money received in helping us stay alive - the cheque from Sussex police will do just that.
“We must be doing something right for the police to award us with a grant and we thank them very much.”
