Burgess Hill Runners over 45 ladies not put off by icy conditions
Jan Lavis lead the team home on the hilly 4 mile course in 33:59 (21st in their category) followed by Janet Clapton in 34:33 (24th) and Sally Symes in 38:10 (33rd). The team ranked 7th out of 9 in their age category against tough opposition.
Meanwhile Phillippe Ecaille took part in the ‘Country to Capital’ Ultra, a 45 mile race on country trails and towpaths with an 11 hour cut off. Phillippe was pleased that he managed to keep to his game plan, completing this gruelling challenge in 9:31.

Hide AdBurgess Hill Runners, in partnership with Mid-Sussex District Council are now offering a new ‘Learn to Run’ 10-week course from the 11th of February. The course will be aimed at absolute beginner runners and by the end of the 10 weeks they will be able to jog a whole 5k.
