Rye United’s game at home to Shoreham tonight (Tuesday) was abandoned after just 10 minutes.

The Sussex County Football League Division One match was halted because of a floodlight failure after the lights on one of the pylons went out. The game was goalless at the time.

It means that Shoreham will have to make the three-hour round trip to Rye all over again at a later date. Rye remain ninth in the table with 15 points from 10 outings, while Shoreham are 14th with 11 from nine.
