Should Albion progress, they will be away to Derby County or Preston North End in the third round, with ties to be played week beginning September 21.
Brighton loanee and former Pompey man Matt Clarke featured for Derby last Saturday as they required penalties to advance beyond David Dunn's League Two outfit Barrow.
Last season Aaron Connolly and Glenn Murray were on target as Albion beat Bristol Rovers 2-1 at Ashton Gate to reach the third round.
