A positive Covid-19 test in the Eastbourne Borough camp has led to Monday's National South fixture at home to Maidstone being postponed.

Thr Sports said a period of self-isolation would follow.

Borough were without a game on Boxing Day because of the way the fixtures fell - and have not been in action since December 15, when they lost to Haringey in the FA Trophy.

An EDFC statement said: "The scheduled fixture on the 28th December between Eastbourne Borough and Maidstone United has been postponed due to a positive Covid-19 test result in our camp. A period of self isolation we now be undertaken and further updates will follow in due course."

Eastbourne are one of a growing number of teams around the country forced to call games off because of positive Covid tests.
