What a superb evening of music at anniversary concert in Burgess Hill
Entitled ‘The Last Night of the Proms’, the orchestra presented a wonderful selection of music from Superman March, Adagio from Spartacus, and West Side Story, ending the first half with a rousing rendition of the 1812 Overture.
Following the interval, where the Mid Sussex District Scouts provided refreshments, the orchestra began with music from Frozen followed by O Mio Babbino Caro sung by the delightful soprano Rachel Shouksmith.

Finally the audience was invited to join in with the very professional orchestra, singing Land of Hope and Glory.
Such a superb evening of music and entertainment was enjoyed by such an appreciative audience who will no doubt be attending their next concert at St Andrew’s Church onMay 16, 2020.
